SU’S JOURNEY FROM WHOLE LANGUAGE TO DIRECT PHONICS INSTRUCTION

 

For over 17 years Su Williams was a classroom teacher for children in grades three through six. As a passionate and dedicated teacher, Su became increasingly baffled and frustrated that so many of her students could not read at grade level, (including her dyslexic son).

 

It was that passion and dedication that sent Su on a journey to find a better way to teach reading.
